Beautiful blooming shrub with overhanging branches. Semi-Evergreen, evergreen in mild winters. Very shiny, small dark green leaves in autumn changing to brown bronze to purple. Bell-shaped, white with pink flowers 2 cm long, from July to September, on 1-year-old wood. Occurs naturally in the warmer regions of Northeast Asia and Mexico. They are therefore best planted in a sheltered place. During cold winters, they ask extra protection. But generally they are fairly hardy in our region. Grows in any drained soil, preferably calcium.
