This is the so-called weeping birch with a continuous trunk: unlike the real weeping birch, the trunk continues to grow with a central axis, while it is covered with slender, hanging, fine twigs. The crown can grow 6-8 meters wide. The fresh green leaves have a yellow to yellow-brown autumn color. Trunks quickly turn white like those of the common birch. Birches need light and do not tolerate a place in the shade. Grows on all soils.
