This new Buddleja has interesting features. The softly scented light purple flowers attract butterflies. The flowers appear on each stem of the plant and are nicely long in shape. 'Sophie' flowers over a long period. If you remove the spent flowers, the plant will continue to produce new flowers throughout the summer. The foliage is light green in summer, turning light gray in autumn. 'Sophie' is a very compact Buddleja and grows in open ground to about 60 cm high and 80 cm wide. The compact growth also makes this a nice cultivar in a pot on the patio.
