Belgian selection from 2003. Hornbeam with a narrow, dense, pyramidal crown. Later the crown becomes wider and egg-shaped. Egg-shaped, dark green leaves of 8-12 cm length, turning brown-yellow to golden yellow during the autumn. Afterwards the withered leaves remain on the tree during the winter, comparable to green beech, which provides extra structure and privacy in the garden. This cultivar, like the common hornbeam, has few soil requirements, and also grows well on dry or wet soils. Very good wind resistance.
