Green form with brown-red stems. Grows best on fairly moist soils. In full sun it requires a lot of water. In the semi-shade of a shrub bed or perennial border it also does well. Beautiful in flower arrangements. Very hardy to -20°C, and also retains its beautiful colour in the winter. After a severe winter or dry summer the tips of the leaves sometimes dry out. Cut off the top dry tops at the end of May, this can be done in a block, but never prune the plant short!
