This Calluna is mainly bought for its foliage. It is pure yellow, also in winter. The flower is white from August to September. The growth habit is upright, 40-50 centimetres high. These richly flowering heather plants come into their own in rock or heather gardens, in large groups and in borders. Summer flowering and are therefore best pruned back annually in spring just above the ground (15-20 cm). They fear lime and therefore require acidic soil. Therefore, it is best to mix acidic soil improver into the soil when planting. Planting distance: 35 to 40 cm, so 6 to 8 plants per m2.
