Bud bloomer, changes color from white to purple when the flowers open and later back to white. Blooms from August to early December. The foliage is green, the growth habit is broadly upright, up to 25 cm. Very winter hardy. These richly flowering heather plants come into their own in rock or heather gardens, in large groups and in borders. Summer flowering and are therefore best pruned back annually in the spring just above the ground (15-20 cm). They fear lime and therefore require acidic soil. Therefore, it is best to mix acidic soil improver into the soil when planting. Planting distance: 35 to 40 cm, so 6 to 8 plants per m2.
