Narrow, long graceful overhanging leaves and silvery white flower plumes from September. The plant should be cut back to 15 cm at the end of April. Wear gloves, because the leaves are razor-sharp. Old plants can become hollow in the middle and should then be divided. Grows well in any soil but grows tallest on a clay soil. Winter hardy to -5°C to -10°C. Evergreen in mild winters.
