Very strong growing. Loose, upright pyramid shape with fresh green foliage. Of all conifers that can be used for large hedges, it tolerates strong pruning best. Planted at a distance of 0.6 m, plants of e.g. 1 meter will produce a dense hedge of at least 2 meters high after 3 years. Can grow as a free-standing tree to a height of 15 to 30 meters. Grows on all types of soil, if well-drained and sufficiently moist, and can also tolerate a lot of wind.
