Low-growing, upright shrub with fine, hanging twigs. Lancet to elliptical, light green leaves, 3-6 cm long. In May-June it flowers profusely with small pure white flowers in panicles of 4-9 cm. Fragrant and much visited by butterflies. It flowers on the two-year-old wood and should therefore only be pruned after flowering. Strong and healthy species that prefers a moist, humus-rich soil, sun or partial shade.
