Very well growing cultivar. The growth habit is broadly spreading, 20 cm high. The plant becomes about 45 cm wide. Blooms from March to early May with dark wine-red flowers. The foliage is green, in winter very dark bronze.

Erica is popular because of its long and spread flowering period. It is best to plant them in not too dry humus-rich, acidic soils. Therefore, mix acidic soil improver into the soil when planting. For heath and rock gardens, in groups, in borders, in the foreground in shrub massifs. Annual strict pruning is necessary to keep the plants beautiful. They require little food and one must be careful with chemical fertilizers (burning). Planting distance: from 30 to 40 cm, so 6 to 10 plants per square meter.
