Fast growing selection of the common ash (Fraxinus excelsior). Important improvements are the straight trunk and regular crown. Compound, glossy dark green leaves with 9-11 leaflets, brown-yellow autumn colour. Inconspicuous flower panicles in April. Rarely bears fruit. Forms a deep growing taproot, which anchors the tree firmly. Grows on most soil types, if sufficiently moist.
