Summer raspberry. Very tasty fruits of good quality, productive. Sensitive to root rot, so not for wet soils.

Raspberries make few demands on the soil, as long as it is sufficiently moist. They also tolerate light shade. It is best to plant them on lines on wires. Planting distance 40 to 50 cm on the line. When planting, it is best to prune all shoots back to 20 to 30 cm above the ground.

A summer raspberry bears fruit on two-year-old shoots. These shoots have grown the year before, after the raspberries have been harvested. (late summer/early autumn). The branches that have borne fruit can be pruned low to the ground, in the autumn. In the spring, you choose the strongest growing shoots to tie to, you prune away the weak shoots.
Autumn raspberries are pruned back short after the winter. In the spring, when the new shoots have grown a bit, you select the strongest growing shoots and tie them to the wires. You prune away the other ground shoots.
