Shrub with a distinctive grey colour impression. The stems are whitish. The deeply incised leaves are greyish green. The flowers hang in large, slender bunches and are lavender blue, in August-September. Perovskia likes a warm, sunny location and is drought resistant. It is advisable to protect the plant during the winter, for example with a layer of leaves, because of its sensitivity to frost.
