Spherical selection of the common plane tree, grafted on trunk, with smaller, round crown. This is the strongest growing of the 'spherical' trees, suitable for smaller gardens. The crown can grow to 4-5(-6) metres, both in height and in diameter. The large, broad leaf has 3-5 lobes and turns yellow in autumn. Can be pruned very hard if necessary, even into the old wood. Tolerates wind well, but with a young tree it is best to place a support pole.
