This fine, green, overhanging grass can be recognized by its strong coriander scent during the summer months. It tolerates drought well and grows on both sandy and loamy soil. The silver-colored ears grow on slender stems in elegant plumes. The stems turn warm orange in the fall. In the fall, the stems turn orange. Very winter-hardy to -20°C. Cut back to 5 to 10 cm above the ground in March.
